WyldLife is the middle school element of Young Life, an international, non-denominational ministry to teenagers.  Young Life’s vision is that “Every adolescent will have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and follow Him.”

WyldLife’s philosophy is the same as Young Life’s – that solid youth ministry does not start with a program but with adults who are concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. But, because middle school kids are at a different developmental stage than high schoolers and need different things, we make a subtle delineation between the two.

WyldLife at OLM

WyldLife has been used as the primary model for middle school ministry at OLM since August of 2005.  WyldLife’s evangelistic approach and ability to meet 7th and 8th graders where they are provides us with a great oportunity to lead the younger teens deeper into their Catholic faith and keep them connected to their parish community.  It is especially helpful in support of our Confirmation program.
