Our Mission: 

Into The Deep’s mission is to engage at least 50% of a parish’s teenagers by:

  • Befriending Teens in Christ, (Evangelization)
  • Introducing Teens to Christ, (Sacraments)
  • Agaping Teens with Christ, (Community)
  • Training Teens to follow Christ, (Discipleship)
  • Teaching Teens to lead in Christ, (Service)
  • Adoring Christ with Teens in the Eucharist (Worship)
Into the Deep's Current Programs: 

WyldLife - WyldLife is an Evangelization program designed for 7th and 8th graders.  Through exciting games, goofy skits, healthy Christian relationships, illustrative talks, and the unique WyldLife camp experience, we intend to create a warm and exciting atmosphere for young Catholics, inviting them to participate more fully in the life of the Church and encouraging them to embrace their Sacramental Faith.  Put simply WyldLife is an adventure... a blast... a place for kids to be themselves and have the time of their lives!  WyldLife Clubs meet typically every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month, from 7-9 PM in the school gym.  Contact the Office of Youth Ministry for a WyldLife Club schedule.

Small Christian Community - Small Christian Community, or SCC, is a Community level program designed for those high school teenagers who wish to go deeper in their faith and connect with other Catholic teens to grow as human beings and spiritually as young members of the body of Christ.  One SCC consists of 20-30 teens who meet with 2-3 adult leaders one night every week over periods of six weeks thoughout the year.  Trust building, community challenges, discussion, prayer, and social time all come into play at the first level of SCC.  The community may participate together in many exciting events, retreats, and service projects to foster growth and commitment as a community outside of the typical meeting setting.  Since more than one community may be running over the course of a year, meeting times, dates, and locations vary.  To learn more about how to join or start an SCC, contact the Office of Youth Ministry.

Social Events - Throughout the year, Into the Deep seeks to reach out to other young parishioners within both the Middle School and High School age groups through various trips and events from Paintballing, Skiing, and Theme Parks to Retreat Days, Youth Rallies, and Concerts.  It is our hope that through events such as these, more of the parish youth will come into contact with the Our Lady of Mercy Community and consider taking a another step in living out their faith.
